Led by Sadie Blake in Felton, Scatterbrook Childminding offers a nurturing, secure home environment where children can learn, play, and grow. With a wealth of experience and a deep passion for child development, Sadie provides individualized care tailored to each child's unique needs. Certified in Pediatric First Aid and Safeguarding, Sadie ensures a safe setting, where every child’s well-being is her top priority.
Our setting includes a cozy playroom filled with engaging toys and books, a kitchen area for cooking and sensory play, and a secure garden for outdoor activities. Children enjoy a variety of enriching experiences, from messy play and baking to outdoor games and nature-based learning. Our local allotment allows children to connect with nature by helping to grow plants and vegetables, fostering a sense of responsibility and appreciation for the environment.
While Sadie has two friendly dogs, Zuka and Layla, they are always kept separate from the children, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience for everyone.
At Scatterbrook Childminding, we believe that open communication with parents is essential. We maintain an open-door policy and encourage parents to be actively involved in their child’s progress. Regular updates and artwork displays give insight into each child’s daily experiences, creating a supportive partnership between parents and caregiver.
Our flexible hours from 7 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday, accommodate working families. Fees are £7 per hour, which includes snacks and drinks, with options for additional meals if required. We also offer outings to nearby parks, nature walks, and more, with parent permission for any additional fees.
